A Thought....

"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you; that is the principal difference between a dog and a man." - Mark Twain

Dynamic Duo

I must tell you about these two dogs that guard a four acre property!
Well these are two awesome watch dogs that invited themselves to guard our family property and I must tell you....the are really good at it!!! A couple of weeks ago I visited the land with a few friends. It was about 5pm when we guys were test-pitching a fairly large tent to see how it works. I noticed the two dogs walk around us in circles at a safe distance. They were sniffing away and smelling the air to see if they could catch some sort of scent.
I decided to quietly observe the dogs and what they were really upto. They were analysing each one of us, the gear we had with us, the food stuff that we were carrying and most of all......listening to the care taker of the land talk to us. Just his tone and body language told the dogs that these were familiar people and they mean no harm. Based on the above analysis the dogs decided to get a little closer.
We sat down to cut and eat a watermelon we purchased at a nearby village. The 'duo' decide to sit down by our side, but again at a fairly safe distance. I could see the amount of data they were processing just observing us and the way we were going about things.

Later I casually asked the caretaker I they were really good watch dogs. He only concluded by saying, "we are safe here in this lonely place because of these two precious Dogs"!! I was amazed. They according to me are a real dynamic duo!!!

Why I'm called 'DOG'

When God had made the earth and sky
the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals
the fish, the birds and bees.

And when at last He'd finished
not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine
and give each one a name."

And so He travelled far and wide
and everywhere He went,
a little creature followed Him
until it's strength was spent.

When all were named upon the earth
and in the sky and sea,
the little creature said, "Dear Lord,
there's not one left for me."

Kindly the Father said to him,
"I've left you to the end.
I've turned my own name back to front
and called you dog, My friend."
